Just a few minutes ago, I called Danny, my love, on his way to work to discuss a few things our son Dan Dan had forgotten to take to school today--one of them being his lunch. Anyway during the course of our friendly phone banter, we got around to talking about ice cream. Here was the dialog that led up to this post.
My love: "If I stayed at home all day, like you, the ice cream would be gone."
Me: "Well, it is surprising that I stay at home all day and don't eat all that good stuff like that. I don't know why I don't, I just don't."
My Love: "What do you eat? Yeah, what do you do all day? What DO you do?"

Oh Dan the Man...if you only knew. I love how husbands wonder this question and then when they are home for a long weekend or if they have to take care of the house while the wife runs an errand or goes to a party, they say things like "I would go crazy if I did what you did all day". Ahhh, husbands.
And it's good we don't have ice cream in this house or I'd have a little sneak here and there.
So true! Denise, you should set Dan the Man up and leave him with the kids this weekend while you go out ALONE and put a brand new gallon of ice cream in the freezer (his favorite kind) and see if he gets in to it.
Honey, we all know what you do all day. A mom's work is never done, nevvvvvvvvvver done.
Just be glad that Danny doesn't work from home!
I just had a big bowl of chocolate ice cream about an hour ago and I ate it real fast so Dave wouldn't come downstairs and see me with it!! Then he would've asked my if I'm going to go run today!
That Dan is one brave man! I sure wouldn't want to tread those waters after your post yesterday!

If he did ask you what you do all day, it was probably only becasue he was so stressed at work that he wasn't in his right mind. Your hubby and mine are hard workers right now! Not that they aren't always, but you know!

Wait...what??? You guys don't eat ice cream all day long? I do! And then I usually go shopping after my nanny gets here, get my nails done and then pick up dinner to take home for the family. I thought that's what everyone does???

So when I want to leave my dearest hubby on Saturday for 1 hour to go to the store without kids...why does he have such a fit?
Could it be that its not all bubbles and ice cream???

Great post Denise. Ice Cream isn't my temptation, however, I keep sneaking those caramel hershey kisses that came in my Valentine Swap from Jennifer...they are so yummy so I hid them in the pantry so no one else could see them...bad Caroline...bad Caroline!
