This post is all in fun, and dedicated to my sweet husband.Danny often "teases" me and says I let our little ones watch TV "all day." (I don't.)Well, My Love, here is a little proof for you that we don't watch TV all day.
My Love, as I type this, the TV is OFF. I am on the computer, fulfilling my role as CFO of our family by taking care of some domestic bills online. As you can see, Harry Jack and Margaux are on the computer, playing Diego on Nick Jr. (Pardon my photoshop skills that I had to resurrect from my "not a stay at home mom" job years ago. Harry Jack is in his widdle undies in the above picture. I needed to protect my sweet boys innocence.)
My Love, I do have a little music playing in Harry Jack's room. Cedarmont Kids Toddler Tunes to be exact. I am just about to finish this post, and then get on with my daily chores: making a few beds, washing, drying, folding and putting away 1 or 2 loads of laundry (oh, btw, I already did one load), unloading and loading the dishwasher, changing a few diapers, wiping a "widdle" bottom, fixing and cleaning up lunch, "picking" up the house, and I need to work in a shower too--when I WILL turn the TV on to occupy the children so I can have a few minutes to myself (you know what that's like--right?).
My Love, I'm going to try to work in a nap for our little ones today, although I need to run to Publix to get something for din din. And, I need to do a little shopping because tomorrow is our first born son's 8th birthday. Which reminds me, I need to either make or go buy cupcakes for his class party tomorrow. Juice boxes too!
My Love, I am hoping you can still pick up our oldest two at school at 3:00 today since you are supposed to get off work today at 2:00. But if not just give me a call and I will happily do that too!
My Love, as you know, I am in "delicate condition." Usually I need a little "prop my feet up time/rest my ache'n back time" in the mid afternoon. I may turn the TV on, read, or who knows--doze off for a few minutes. It depends on how I'm feeling.
My Love, you are the LOVE of my life. What would I do with out you? XOXO

Denise, you are so funny! I love how you call him My Love. I should call Don that and see what he does...may need to have oxygen near by. HA
Listen, how can anyone think you don't do anything with 4 kids and one on the way? Shoot, just your womb is doing more work than most of us! :) Like I've said before...Denise is my HERO!!!!
Amen sista! I tell Derek all the time.....no wait, when he's home, so not very often because he's doing the Lord's work with Dan, that "He gets to go to work". I could use a job! Heck, I might even volunteer! But who would watch my babies? No, I would never trade this time with my children. I just hope they can look back on it and remember some good and not just how crazy their mother was!
BTW Go Palin!!!!!!!! Who's havin a Palin Party?
Gotta love some Cedarmont kids! We have two DVD's in the car!
Nice Photoshop skills! I actually didn't notice.
I don't even have kids, and I find it hard to get all the house stuff done! How do you do it? Men Have no idea how much it takes to keep a house decent. Corey shakes his head at me like I am crazy at the end of the day when I say I am tired!
Go Moms!
Stay strong, you wonderful P31 Woman!! I get the same blah, blah, blah, the kids watch too much tv, yadda, yadda, yadda quite often. I do what I gotta do to get stuff done!!
I agree completely with Julie. BTW, must have been something really interesting that sparked that whole blog! Husbands don't have an inkling what the wives and mothers go through each day. Just give them a couple days with the kiddies by themselves, and they get a better picture. When I first saw the picture of HJ and Margaux, I was wondering about HJ's pants. Looks like you fixed them with white out. I certainly wouldn't have known how to do that, though. Good job!!! I'm proud of you, Denise. You're a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, etc, etc. Keep doing what you're doing.
I love Marg's bed head and HJ's serious computer face. These two are adorable and you can tell they love each others company!
Man Denise! I really don't know how you doing being pregnant and still doing all you're doing. I've got a RUDE awakening in the future I'm sure.
WOO HOOO...way to photoshop. LOL. But aw, man...I was hoping to see a comment from YOUR LOVE...good ole Mr. Logan. That would rock!
Professor Logan, commenting?? I will be checking back for that one.
and I second Dolly, I don't know how you do all you do. and I know I am going to have alot to learn in the future.
and by the way Sarah loves TV (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Winnie the Pooh; any Disney DVD's) and it sure does come in handy when I am cleaning house or cooking:)
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is the best! I actually sit down and watch that with my boys. The hotdog dance is our fav!
I LOVE IT!!! I've only got two children so far, and I already feel like this. I echo Jennifer and say...you are my hero!!
BTW, my kids LOVE TV. MFC's teacher told them the other day they were getting a new student named Ruby and she said, "Like Max & Ruby"? One of my prouder moments. Ha!
Happy Birthday, Dan Dan!
You girls are funny! I did call Danny at work yesterday and told him I had a special post dedicated to him on my blog.
He laughed as he read it. At the time I guess only Jennifer had commented and he thought her comment was so funny. He said, "is she that funny in real life?"
Anyway, he did say he would comment. We will see if he actually does??????
Denise, this post is hilarious! Can we say "Passive-Aggressive"???
That's right, Dan the Man, she set you straight. I mean, you just knock her up and go about your merry way and she is left to do the hard work. She has to slave and cook and clean and put her life at risk bearing your children and raise them in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord" . She deserves some TV time!!! All of us blog girls want to hear from you Danny. We want a Dr. Daniel Kenneth Logan zinger. Come on, you can do it! We know you are a secret lurker.
BTW - How do you and Suzanne get your little ones to watch TV. Olivia isn't interested in TV or toys. I never thougth I would say this but I WANT her to get interested in TV so I can occupy her with something while I get things done.
you're funny denise! i still remember the conversation my sweet mom had with me when i was a young girl and told someone, "my mom doesn't work." oh, yeah...she gently corrected me and told me exactly how hard she works every day! i've never made that mistake again...stay home moms are working moms!
Kristi, Harry Jack was 3 years old before he started to like watching TV or DVD's it drove me nuts.
I would be like, "Come on Harry Jack, let's go watch TV! Wanna watch a DVD? Look it's Barney!"
Nothing worked until I had Margaux and he wanted to sit beside me while I fed her. So then I would turn on the TV to Disney and he finally got into it. Thank you Jesus!
