On a serious note, I am thankful that we tried the on line school thing this past year, but so much more thankful for truly going back to school. I don't care how far the school is from our home or how much gas cost to get there. I'm freeeeeeeee!

Is it bad that I didn't go with them to school on the first day?
I mean, it's not like it was the first day of preschool, kindergarten or first grade.

I am sure your two eldest will have a fabulous first day of school. My Liam begins K on Thursday! Where has the summer gone? Praying for a great school year for your kids and for your pregnancy!

Oh yes! Praise the Lord for Christian Schools! My youngest had her first day of JK today - she has a summer birthday so we're waiting a year to send her to K. Anyway, tomorrow will be the first day to drop off - parents stay for orientation the first day.

We're waiting anxiously for Wednesday around here! Juette has always taken them to school especially on the first day. It saves on tears in public from mommy!! So glad you are enjoying your quiet house. See you soon.
Denny - I could not WAIT for this blog today! I knew you would have pictures and I could not wait to hear how you spend your "FREE" day! I prayed for you this morning! Dan Dan looks ready to go...Maddie on the other hand looks like a preteen...not wanting to go to school!! Haha! It was nice to visit...i love you all so much...
I am so happy for you!! I always have admired you for being able to home school and do the on line schooling, but isn't it a wonderful feeling when dad and the kids get in the car and leave for school?! I know the calm, quiet, lovely feeling and it is great! But, I'll have to wait until next Tuesday for that.
Maddie and Danny are so cute in their uniforms! And Maddie does look so much older!
I'm laughing at the pic of Maddie and DanDan. He looks like he can't get to school fast enough and Maddie looks like she's dreading it. I hope the day went well for them. First day of school is always fun/scary. Enjoy these next few months with only two kids. Live it up. Go to Target!

I LOVED reading this post and the picture of Danny and Maddie is hilarious! It's funny to see them in uniforms again. I know they will love their school year and you will too. Good post Denny! And NO, you're not a bad mom for not taking them. It's a well needed break for you. By the way, you need to post about school being canceled already!

Now, do you go get them at 3:00 or does Danny bring them home? Wow...7:15...I would definitely be turning on PBS or Nick Jr while I drank my coffee and checked blogs. It's about time you got back to doing the things a housewife should do!

Yes, school was closed on Tuesday due to Fay. Major bummer! Luckily Danny was home from work too, so it was somewhat like a "Florida Snow Day."
And, yes, Danny takes them to school at 7:15 and I pick them up at 3:00. LOVE IT!
