Have any of you heard of a Fall Swap? It's a lot like a gift exchange. For a Fall Swap, you buy 4 little gifts for your person, one gift representing each letter in the word FALL. I think the idea is to be crafty, but right now in my life, I don't have time to be crafty. I am thinking along the line of being creative with idea's of what could respresent each letter of the word FALL.
So if you're interested in being a part if a Fall Swap, here are the details. Oh, and also, I need at least **6 known bloggers/**known commenters, besides my sisters and mother, to be a part of this to make it work. So come on and have some fun. Don't be afraid that you may not know the person you're buying for. It's all for fun and getting to know your fellow blogger/commenter.
Sign Up: Sign up by emailing me your name and home address, at dlogan7@verizon.net by Wednesday, Sept.17.
Send Out: Send out FALL gift no later then Friday, October 3.Budget: Try to keep total gift under $25, INCLUDING shipping. ( I hope this will be possible.)
Blog/Thank You Note: If you want, blog about your gift when you receive it, OR please remember to send a thank you note to the person who sent it to you.
Be creative, crafty, whatever. Just have fun! I will place the names of all those who sign up in a "hat" and draw out names one at a time. The first person drawn will buy for the second person. The second person, for the third person and so on. The last person drawn will buy for the first person drawn.
I will email everyone ASAP after the closing sign up date and tell you who you are buying for and that persons address. More information will come as the sign up deadline arrives. If you have any questions, just leave a comment.

Oh, and I have thought many times about how your family sends thank you notes for your family Christmas gifts...that is really good, but I think my sisters would laugh at me if I wrote them a note now. Maybe I'll try it and see what kind of response I get...who knows??? :) That Jenius...she sure learned her children right!

JFTB, just for the record, I've stopped writing my sisters thank you notes. They know I"m thankful! I still get notes from Dolly and Dawn, though. I think the rest of us gave up:) I do write thank you's to my parents, though.

Wow Denny! You are one creative cat! Where did you come up with this idea? Me confused though...you said something about your sisters and mom not doing this. Does that mean we can't sign up?
Yes, I really don't write my sisters TY notes. They know I am thankful. And yes, good old Dolly and Dawn still do--they don't have chillins yet. They may stop writing TY notes to us once they get a few babies under their belt. BUT, for just about everyone else, Thank Notes are in order!

BTW, children do put in cramp in thank you note writing...especially when you have to help them write notes for their gifts. By the time I get around to my notes it's usually after 9 p.m. and I'm falling asleep!

Actually this past weekend my sisters and I just gave a baby shower for my sister who is having a baby in a few weeks. Angela- you are funny. Jenius doesn't mind. She only comments once in awhile anyway. The whole top 10 is somewhat odd. I don't know exactly how it works, because I have been blogging for over a year and most of the top commenter's should have 100's of comments. Anyway, I am glad you're bringing Tyler, he is always one of our best babies!
As far as baby names: Ashley Jane for a girl (my middle name is Ashley) we will call the baby Jane, and so far the only boy name I like is Benjamin Daniel (Daniel after all 3 Daniels in my life). Danny does not totally like Benjamin, but he has give me no other choice, but Murphy?????? Murphy Daniel???? I should do a poll on the boys name.
Denise, I was thinking today...if you have a boy and name him Benjamin (which I LOVE by the way) then we could call him Benny! I think that's so cute!

WOO! I am behind on all these comments. You really know how to bring them in. OK, I would love to do this Fall Swap but this go-round, I am reluctantly going to decline. This month, between in-laws and my family and family friends, we have 10 birthdays as well as 5 kid birthday parties to attend. My gift budget is going to be wiped out and then some. Also I am broke from having to buy all my food when I was in South Carolina. Ha!
Let's do it again and I want to get in on the next one for sure. I know of one ladies group that did one where whatever you bought had to come from the Dollar Store. You could only spend a dollar plus tax and it was hilarious what people ended up with and then there was a winner for the best $1 gift. That would be fun to do in the blog world. You Reber girls get all the traffic so we have to funnel all this stuff through one of you.
