FYI

Yesterday afternoon my mother, sweet Jenius, sent me her copy of Redeeming Love. I had planned to start reading it on Sunday when Danny, Maddie and Dan Dan left for church camp.

Well, I started to read it last night and was up until 3:30am, this morning, reading it, when I had to make myself put it down. The prologue made me leery due to the sadness, but I continued to the first chapter and couldn't stop reading.

This is the same way I felt when I read The DaVinci Code. Anyway, if you have not read it, try it. It is a page turner.

Thanks to
Crumbs for reminding me of this book I have been wanting to read for years.

One of my favorites!!! I couldn't put it down either. I read about 4 years ago, and I have been wanting to read it again lately!

I am so glad I read your blog today. My husband is going out of town tonight and I can never sleep when he's not here. I have heard great reviews of this book and have also been wanting to read it, but totally forgot about it! I will definitely be going out to buy it today for a good read tonight! Thanks for the reminder, just at the perfect time!

I read this book at the beach last summer and hardly talked to anyone for four days. I couldn't put it down and I had a box of tissues with me too. It's SUCH a great book and made me want to go read the book of Hosea afterwards. Glad you're enjoying it too! I wish they would make a movie out of it.

I love Francine Rivers! If you have not read her book A Voice in the Wind I highly recommend it! That is my favorite. Someone gave me that book after I had Cade and I could not put it down. It's a three book series and I especially loved the first two.

It sounds like a winner. I recently joined a book club and love reading. I am going to check it out as I haven't read it.

Love that book, I don't even enjoy reading and couldn't put that one down. Really makes you thankful for what you have...

I agree with the other 8 commenters...it's a classic. One other book I read of hers "And the Shofar Blew" is a great one. Good for any wife of a person in the ministry. I highly suggest it!

I've never read it, but now I will...thanks for the suggestion! I'm behind on my reading...if I could stay off these darn blogs then maybe I would get more reading done! :)

Julie, I'm going to buy the one you suggested and take it with me to the beach in a few weeks. Sounds like a good one.

Another Francine Rivers book that I read last year was "the Scarlett Thread". That's more of a modern day story but a really good one too! Francine Rocks!!!!!

Dolly, you will love that series! It takes place in Rome some years after the crucifixion and fall of Jerusalem. You should go to Amazon and read about it. Like I said, I read them when Cade was born, but I re-read them last year while in the car pool line. Let me know how you liked them after you've read them!

Wow girls. So many comments. I have been busy, reading amongst other things and cannot believe the comments on this post.

Jennifer and Caroline--yes read this book.

I am going to read the other ones you girlies mentioned too. I think I will start with the one Donna mentioned since I am a...shhhh...ministry wife.

A favorite of mine too! I have read all of Francine Rivers. She was my favorite fiction author, but just really no new books in awhile now.

Yes, this is such a fabulous book! I've read this one as well as "And The Shofar Blew". I will have to check out the others by her mentioned here. It has been a while since she has written anything new, as Suz mentioned.

I'm laughing Denise. I thought it was last summer when i read that book but I'm realizing it was the summer when I brought Leland to the beach with us. We weren't even engaged...just dating. I was probably so into my book that you girls probably talked to him more than I did. YIKES!

dolly, that is funny about you with the book and a boyfriend at the beach...i can see me doing the same thing!

i am a big francine fan too! and like dolly said, have some tissues. i remember after reading the last page i just burst into tears and needed some time to myself. i did that book with a high school girls book club and they all loved it too.
