When Daddy Say's I'm Beautiful

This weekend we had the Annie Moses Band at our church. They were great! They are a family of 6 children ages 10-24 years. They all play string instruments and truly were a pleasure to watch! The above song, "When Daddy Say's I 'm Beautiful," made me cry and I wanted to share it with you.

My daddy makes me feel beautiful! God knew my dad would be a incredible daddy to girls, and He blessed my parents with five girls. I know I speak for all 5 of us girls and my sweet momma, when I say, we always felt loved and always felt beautiful. As a result, that feeling has turned into a confidence that can never be diminished by the influences of this world.

I love you daddy. Thank you for telling me I am beautiful. You make my heart grow!

Girls, tell your hubby's to tell your daughters they are beautiful!

Sniff, sniff. Denise, this was really a pretty song. Thanks for sharing it. It really is important for daddy's to make their daughters feel beautiful (inside most importantly and out). We sure have a good daddy. It makes you relate better to our heavenly father too and how beautiful HE must think we are. Now, can I get an amen on that?

By the way, do you know how to get things on You Tube? I want to put Leland's testimony on there so you can see it.

Well, your daddy and mom obviously did something right because the 3 girls I've "met" are terrific! I can tell you guys love him so much and you know that has to make him so happy and proud! Love the song and it makes me wish I had a daughter. :)

Great post!

Oh my gosh, Denise...I was just flipping through the channels and landed on The Duggars!!! They're showing them on a family vacation and they're at a Cadillac ranch spray painting old cars-sounds like a ball, doesn't it? They all have cowboy hats on and the girls are wearing long skirts...made me think of you! :)

Amen! Hey,I think you have to download the video clip of Leland to your computer, then up load it to your post. There is a little movie icon next to the picture icon on the page where you post things to your blog.

I didn't load this song on my blog onto Youtube,it was already there. But if you go to Youtube they have an upload icon to click on that I think explains how to do it.

LOL, Jennifer! One day we're going to have to arrange a meeting with Michelle and Denise:)

Denise, that was a SWEET post. I can't get the song to play, but I will soon. It is so important for dads to make their daughters feel like they are it! Daddy did this to all of us. I remember every sunday when I would come into the kitchen ready for church, he would make a BIG HUGE deal over how nice I looked. Every Sunday! Well, when we got married, I just figured that Roy would always make a huge deal, too. I thought it was normal for every man to rant and rave over their girls. Our first Sunday as a married couple, I came into the kitchen and he said "okay, you ready to go?" I think I cried a big one:( He's gotten better since.

Donna you will have to go the the anniemosesband.com store and get a "Daddy Say's I'm Beautiful" tshirt for Carol. They are really sweet and cool too. I got one for both Marg's (as Harry Jack calls her) and Maddie.

Oh, Denise, what a sweet post! I have to meet your dad one day. It is so obvious how NUTS he was and still is over his girls. That is so sweet! What a wonderful blessing and heritage you all have. You are a wonderful family.

The Annie Moses Band are great! They've been to our church a few times and it's always a great time! That song is too sweet.

In agreement with the others, the Reber family is a special one!

I just got home from sweet Gainesville Fl, and the first thing I did was to get on your site, and what do I get...This beautiful post and song that made me cry...It's so special the daddy-daughter bond, and now that I have my daddy so far away...and I haven't seen him since 2004 broke my heart and I started to cry like when I was 5 and it was time for me to go back home with my mom after spending the entire summer with him...It's so important for a little girl to have daddy close, and although I had to deal with him being in "another" home, he was always there for me, just a phone call away and every vacation was spent with him. You girls are so lucky, lucky of having the daddy you have, when I met your dad the first thing I noticed was the love that he had for you and your sisters, it was something that just by looking at his eyes...He's a wonderful man, I was very honored the day I met him for the first time, and like I said to Matt, GOD blesses very special men with daughters, and now that he has 3 he can tell you that it takes a special man to build up a special girl. So your dad is extra special, he has 5 wonderful girls... We never grow up for our dads we are always daddy's little girl, and you know what??? I don't want to grow, I still lay in his arms for hours just watching movies, and I'll keep on until the day I die...
keep the good posts coming.
Allie.

YESSSSS, I've been praying hard, as soon as the girls get off school , off I go to my dear and so missed CHILE to spend all summer vacation [ winter there though :( ].
So many things had happened, my dear dad after practicing medicine for over 30 years decided it was time for him to rest and keep up with all the realstate he has...my brother had a baby boy that I have't met yet, my mom still fighting cancer...friends getting married, other having kids...I have to go, I want to go...I miss my family so much, but at the same time I know my place is with my hubby...you know better too...YOu are blessed that you can see your mom and dad more often...LOL
I love you guys,
Allie.

Forgot about the surgey, the twins are still waiting, the ENT doc will call us with the date, it'll be within 2 weeks. So keep praying, specially for Natti...she's the one that started with hearing loss...Danni is just getting her tubes removed, she has had them for 2 years, so it's time to come out. In the other hand, Natti is the one with a little more complicated surgery, but if she made it so good after an "open heart" surgery ( remember???) she can make it through this one!!! she's a strong cookie.
Keep the prayers coming.
Allie.

Denise - beautiful. Donna's comments made me laugh - picturing RG saying that to her. Allie's made me tear up a bit. I made my husband listen to the song too...

For you mothers, have you heard "In my Daughter's Eyes" by Martina McBride? Wonderful mother-daughter song. When my sister, Carrie turned 40 we had that song playing in her video when we were showing pictures of her and her girls. Not a dry eye, I tell you.

Denise said...

Kristi, I have never heard of that song. I am going to have to go find it.

Denise, you tell Danny hello for me since I KNOW him and Troy would never THINK to call their old friend, Kristi while they were in town. Sniff, Sniff!!!

Dolly said...

Denise, tell Danny to tell Lisa Young I said hello. She signed a "One Body for God" cookbook for me one time. :)

Denise said...

Dolly, Brenda just called me. She and Danny ran into each other at Fship. Danny gave her our blog address and email. I will pass on your blog to her too. Actually, if you still have her email you better invite her since yours in private.

BTW, the C3 conference was live on Daystar last night. I watched it. It may be on again tonight too. Check it out.

Girls, with all of our different connections with people who know people, just think of all the people we "know", BG, Richard Becker, Ed Young, Paul Wylie....the list goes on and on!

Kristi Smalley said...

OK Denise....I also watched Daystar. Not to be mean but I have to ask.....what was your thoughts on the worship leader? He looked 12 and he was in those tight skater jeans that I hate and he was skipping all over stage. He REALLY needed to be masculinized. They have great worship but I had a hard time getting past the leader. (Aren't I terrible)
