Today was voting day for us Floridians. Whaaahoooo! Finally! Hopefully this will put an end to all the telemarketers calling the house wanting our vote or wanting us to do a "quick" survey. Seriously, on Sunday while we were eating lunch, we had at least 5 phone calls right in a row. Not to mention the many phone calls we had all last week.So here we are, the 5 of us. Danny met us here and he took the boys with him to vote and I took the girls. We were, remarkably, in and out in minutes! We all got stickers! It was a nice little "field trip" for both Maddie and Danny. (FYI, for those who are wondering, no I did not take the above picture, nor did Danny. A nice little elderly lady did.)
Okay, I must also say that.....I was proud.....to be a Florida Cracker and vote in the Presidential primaries. I cannot believe I said that.
Lastly, I will leave you with a little bit of Republican sweetness! Miss Margaux Jeanne.

First of all...what an honor to be a first commentator!! Second of all, what a great picture. Before I "read" the blog, I thought, "what a trooper Denny is for bringing all the kids with you to vote...then I read it and thought..."Good job Dan, way to be 'THE MAN'"! And thanks for the sweet disclaimer at the end! Perfect touch!
What a great representation of true citizens. Is HJ a little concerned about who you will vote for? Maddie looks really proud! I can't believe she'll be 10 years old in a few weeks. WOW!
I love the little bit of Republican Sweetness! Good post, goooooo post.
Ohhh, I knew I liked you! You vote AND you're a Republican - music to my ears. We had our primary last weekend and I could hardly wait to go and cast my vote - Max and hubby cast theirs too.
That little Margaux is absolutely beautiful...so sweet when they're sleeping like that. Wish I had a scrumptios little baby like her. :)
By the way, have you talked to Kristi about her voting for Hillary? She's all into her and she think's Bill is so HOT.
I'm glad you went with Obama. I don't know when the primary is here in NC, but I will be there with my two with our Barack T-shirts on. I just love that guy. He is really going to bring a revolution to this country.
Okay, everyone. Close your mouths. I'm TOTALLY kidding. Me a Conservative Republican.
Love the pic of MJ.
that was me, by the way! I always forget to sign my name when I go incognito.
Donna you're so funny. I don't think you have primaries in NC sweet girl. I could be wrong. Jennifer is the one to ask b/c she is a die hard political person.
Still laughing at "Obama '08." Sadly I hear he would be worse then Hillary, if that is possible. Again Jennifer would know.
Jennifer--Bill is nasty! So his Hill! You and Kristi are so funny!
Actually Donna, I am wrong. I guess you do have primaries. May 6,2008 would be your day to be a good US citizen!
Thanks for the info. We will definitely be there in our liberal/Democrat city to vote for whoever tickels my fancy on the Repub ticket. Hmmmmm...the jury's still out on that one. It's b/w McCain and Huckabee in my opinion.
I step away to put my chicken parmagiana and garlic bread in the oven and come back to all of this political mud-slinging. Girls, Girls, we are all sisters in the Lord, regardless of who we vote for. Well, I say that...Girls, have you been born again? (PawPaw would be so proud of me)
Oh, spin doctor Jennifer, give us your analysis. Who is it going to be in November?
It will be a Democrat regardless. I hate to be Debbie Downer but let's face it, girls. Our next President will be either Hillary or Obama. Isn't it funny how the media refers to him as Obama but when they talk about her, it's Hillary? They don't call Bush George or McCain John. Hmmm. Just some food for thought.
First things first, yes Kristi, I have been born again. Don't you remember me "rededicating" my life at Winter Camp back in 1987?
Anyway, I'm watching FOX News right now and it looks like McCain will probably win. I'm personally a Romney fan, but definitely not a diehard fan. I just haven't fallen head over heals for anyone - it's a real bummer for me.
I'm hoping Hillary wins the Democratic nomination because I think she may be easier to beat - what do you think??? I really don't know who would be worse to have as President - except that the thought of having to look at/listen to "HillBilly" for 4 years makes my stomach turn.
Donna/Debbie Downer - where in NC do you live?
We live in Charlotte, NC--otherwise known as the Queen City.
Denise, I'm going through all of Caroline's old 12-18 months stuff. I'll get it together and give it to Mom to bring down next weekend. I've got some cute dresses coming Margaux's way!
Goodie, Margaux could use some clothes.
As for McCain, Romney, and sweet Huckabee---I was talking to a very wise man on Sunday and he said that a Senator in the pres. office is not good b/c they don't know how to work with a budget. This person said that you want a gov'ner or a person who has run a major business or corp.
I think it will be Obama and Romney.
Girls, I forgot to tell you that I'm going to the National Prayer Bfast next Thursday and all of these shmucks should be there. I'm hoping I can sneak my camera in. Wouldn't that be a great blog post! I can see it now: Me and Obama, Roy and Hillary, Me and McCain.....
Chuckling! Are you taking the children?
Hillary, Obama...at the National Prayer Breakfast? Something about that just doesn't sound right.
PLEASE, PLEASE get pictures with Hillary and Obama - I'll give you 20 bucks if you do!
Go Denise!! Republicans in the house! Well, not literally, but I wish.
That would be a great post, Donna. You have got to do that. Jennifer, I am so sorry your candidate, Fred Thompson pulled out. Didn't you get your picture with him and were on TV or something? Anyway, I am kind of liking Mike Huckabee but Rush Limbaugh doesn't like him at all. He said if Mike Huckabee or John McCain gets the GOP nomination, it will split the Republican party. Don't know why.
Whoooooo, I check my blogs this mroning and find all this! Last night I went to a Focus on the Family update here in the burg with my MIL and Dr. James Dobson said that he couldn't endorse anyone this year because he wasn't sure who to endorse if he did. It's a really interesting year this year and he suggests to really think through each issue for yourself. Just a little insight into Jimmy Dobson.
Tis true what Jimmy D says. I really am not crazy about the "narsasistic" (sp?) way Romney seems to have. I like sweet Huckabee, sweet name too, but I don't think he will make it. McCain has been in Wash for a long time and knows the most about Iraq and all, but he's no gov'n. or business man. Rudy--well, he's just a nice guy. Too bad there is not another Bush! Come on Pubies--someone step up to the plate!
Too bad Laura Bush cannot run against Hill. That would be incredible! Laura and George make a great team! The parent Bushes too!
Okay...okay. I know...you are so surprised to hear from me! Just had to put my two cents in on this political stuff. Dr. Dobson won't endorse anyone because of the abortion issue. I guess the ones that do support abortions are not in agreement with him on other issues.

Where have I been??? 23 posts already???
In a way I'm so relieved that I can't vote just yet!!!
But Denise I will promise that this year I will do my paperwork to become a citizen so the republicans can get one more vote in the next elections!!!
You need to e-mail or call Matt to update him, he's been so busy at the bank( now he has 2 branches to take care of) that has not have a chance yet to research about the candidates, I think he's been lazy too and wants to vote when there's only 2 candidates left! I keep telling him he needs to step up in the Feb.5th primaries so we can get a good candidate too, I think I know more about this than him...and HE'S the one with the vote in this house!!!!
Allie.
OK girls, I'm FINALLY back after a computer malfunction AGAIN.
I just wanna leave you with a little homage to good ole Jerry...Falwell, that is. Who knows if it's true or not but a little birdie told me that Chelsea Clinton was interviewing him and asked him what he feared most about the future (this sounds like one of those chain emails). Anyway, his reply to her was (even if it wasn't him, whoever said it is THE BOMB):
OSAMA, OBAMA and YO MOMMA....
That's my creedo for '08!
Okay, MAJOR shocker!!! My big sis Dayna COMMENTED!!!! I guess we had to get political before she would enter the ring.
Dayna, I am going to add you to my Who's Who so keep the comments coming!
Thanks, Dayna!
So funny HPS!! I was wondering where you were. Glad you're back!
Well, I think Huckabee is right in line with my way of thinking. Plus, he's a weight-loss phenomenon! He lost tons of weight, and I agree, Denise, he is sweet! But, I think McCain will be the Repub. choice. Roy said that McCain is more liberal than the other, though.
Denise, who/what are pubies? Are you referring to Republicans, I hope?
-Donna
Yes, the re-Pubies. What else would I be referring to? :)
hahah! LOL! I think it sounds like she was referring to something similar to a restaurant here in Forest. A pizza restaurant to be exact and the owner's name is Joe.
Dayna, welcome to the blog world and thanks for clearing up my comment! See girls, I knew if I miss communicated something then Dayna would have to comment and fix it! That was my plan all along.
HPS, you're right! I forgot about Jerry Falwell saying that to Chelsey! Jerry lives on!!!!!
WOW, 31 comments later I am back. I just had to say, I don't get into this mumbo jumbo political stuff, I just MAIL it (always Republican of course). I can tell you the skinny on these politicians!
WOW...All the Reber girls on one post!!! Hello Dayna and Top Dawg. We all need to have a small moment of silence in honor of this big event.
We celebrate with you Denise, Donna and Dolly
Phew wee...just mention politics and the heat is ON.
Dayna, what's your email so I can email you an invite to my blog. Kristi, you too if you're interested...i mean, we are all Sissies in Christ. :)
All I have to say is... TD, DRR and JOR, ya'll have taken the first step into commenting. If you're gonna invest that time into blogging, you might as well give back to the community and do one of your own! TD, your title is already set...Hakuna Matata...can I get a ruff?!
ORRRRRRRRRRR "Who let the DAWGS out??!!"
LOL about Top Dawg's Blog name! Actually I'm laughing that we all refer to her as Top Dawg! I have a great blog title for Dayna's Blog---The Renalds Wrap. Isn't that cute! She won't do it, though. I'm just glad that we're all together on this blog post about the Florida Primaries.
Hannah, I'll e-mail you Dayna's e-mail.

Hannah, you have to invite Kristi to your blog. She knows Joy's brother, Brad, really well!
My Life in Southwest Florida's viewer ratings have not only soared to the top but to gargantuaous proportions! I believe this is the comment RECORD. All in the matter of a week. Do tell us...what is your secret? Side note (said in whiny voice): I think 30 should be the maximum amt of comments requiring an immediate new post!
Kristi (Or DonDon or Denny), gimme the goods and I'll see to it that Kristi can get into ShoutOut AND Joy's blog.
I feel honored that I, Kristi Smalley, am about to leave the 40th comment. Amazing! I feel honored to call you a friend, OH GREAT ONE!!! Tell us your secret, come on Denise, tell us your secret.
HPS, I would love to be a blog friend. I'm just blessed at how you all have accepted me as one of your own. Maybe Denise can send you my email address b/c if I post it on "Mrs Popular's" Blog, I might have my identity stolen or something b/c of all the traffic.
OK, you have to fill us all in on the inside joke regarding "TOP DAWG".
Okay, since I've been gone all day I wasn't able to get into the political debate. BUT, did anyone watch the debate tonight on CNN? It definitely wasn't boring! I'm going to get me some glasses like Nancy Reagan - gotta love her!
Did Jerry Falwell really say that to Chelsey? I've heard that joke before and it is hilarious!
Peace out from a fellow pubie...
Well, Jennifer, I was at church tonight so I missed the debate. Shucks!
HPS--I will email you Kristi's address and I will get Jennifer's too---she's our new blog friend. She and Kristi grew up together in Texas.
As far as the secret, well, we gained two more friends, Kristi and Jennifer, and I also think we have developed our own little chat room with all our blogs put together.
We need to plan a blogunion. Laughing.....wouldn't it be funny if we DID do a blogunion and once we all got here, we had NOTHING to say to each other? It would be like....sooooo.......how's thing's going?.....
LOL! That would be hilarious. We'd plan this huge trip and we'd blog about it during the days leading up to it and then we'd have awkward silence, we'd talk over each other and say "oops, you go ahead." "No really, you go ahead". It would be awkward at night when we got ready for bed and came out in our jammies. Nobody would want to pick a restaurant to eat at because nobody would want to offend anyone's tastebuds. Then in the morning, we'd all stay in our beds as long as we could because we wouldn't want to come out into the main area and small talk about how chilly it was in the house or how the price of gas has skyrocketted. It could prove to be a very, very awkward weekend. But hey, I'm game.
Donna, your description is HILARIOUS and I've experienced EXACTLY what you described before. It's SO AWKWARD. I won't mention where or with who.
FOr some reason, I don't think all of us girls would have that problem.
Donna and Denise - that is hilarious! I just feel honored to even be considered a blog friend. Who knew that Kristi Carr Smalley could unite me with such cool gals!
BUT, do you really want to plan a blogunion after "knowing" us for such a short amount of time? I mean, I bet you didn't know about my nicotine addiction and Kristi's drinking problem?? Maybe we could meet at someone's house that doesn't mind a little smoke smell in their sofa - or a little bourbon spilled on their carpet??
By the way, Denise - thanks for making me feel guilty about not going to Wednesday night prayer meeting.
Are we almost up to "50" comments. Denise, you animal you. You must have an animal magnetism that just draws people to this blog. Who would have thought that Hil and Obama would create such a response. I might need to try this on my blog. Me and Muffin need to put our heads together. Donna, it is Thursday, we expect pictures of all of those guys.
Don't worry, Denise has an addiction to oxycotin, Dolly is slightly into slot machines/ gambling--it's about to become an addiction. I'm perfect...nothing wrong here.
Krisit, I guess I didn't make myself clear: NEXT Thurs. is the big prayer meeting in DC.
By the way, if anyone is reading this and is appalled, thinking Dr. Logan's/Brother Logan's (he is a pastor, you know) wife has an addiction, I'm TOTALLY kidding. I'm not kidding about Dolly, though. She loves her black jack.
I had to make this post 50. Black Jack nothin! You haven't seen me play poker. I've got skills you've never seen before.
Okay, I have been gone all day. I am laughing at so many coments! 50!!! And about the addiction thing---Funny!
Jennifer, you know that my only addiction is food - the only thing we need to make sure of at the blogunion is that there is plenty of food for me and Muffin.
Dolly, I am shocked at this HEATHEN side of you that is coming out. What will we hear next?
