As usual I am slacking with my blogging. Life just gets crazier and crazier and who has time to stop and document important parts of life??? Right???
Below are a few of the projects Danny did on his summer break.
For starters, most of June and July Danny built the below receptionist desk for the Psychology Department at LU. It was a major project with a few set backs here and there, but all in all it turned out incredible.
Next...for the past year or so I have wanted this bookshelf, for the little girls room, from Pottery Barn Kids...
...but it was a little pricey for me, at $399. So I showed Danny what I wanted and a few days later...
...which cost just less then $100 with paint, nails--everything! Then I showed him this for $69...
...and he came up with this...
...for just about $11.00, plus the left over scraps from the bookshelf. It ended up being a little different, but much bigger.
And, I made a little "minor" project of my own--with the help of my sister Donna, who gave me this cake pan for my birthday.
The doughnut possibilities are endless!
And lastly, a funny picture of Margaux. The other day we found her outside playing in this get'up!

wow Denise! I'm so excited to finally see the desk Danny built for his dept. I've been hearing about it all summer so it was nice to see it. He did a FANTASTIC job on it too. I bet the Psych department will love him even more. And the bookshelf and table are incredible. I love the dollhouse bookshelf. He could seriously sell those. Looks JUST LIKE the PB one.
And Margaux cracks me up. I love her get up she's playing in.
OH my goodness, Denise! I can't believe the work that Danny did! FIrst off, the desk is so cool. I bet the Psyc dept loves it (and him!!). But that dollhouse bookshelf looks identical to PBK! WOW! I know the kids love it.

Denise - i'm so impressed with you and Danny!!! That bookshelf is A-MA-ZING!!!! It looks exactly like it. What a gift he has!
And Margaux is quite talented herself. Love it!
I have to agree with everyone else Danny sure does know what he is doing. I can't believe he made them. That desk looks amazing and I love, love, love the bookshelf. So cute! I guess he had a busy summer :)
