This post is a part II, to my anniversary post below--A LITTLE LONG--SORRY!
Tonight Danny gave me the sweetest gift for our anniversary. Normally I keep gifts we give each other private, but this one was so special, cost NOTHING and was totally blogworthy!
Before I tell you what Danny did, I must tell you that Danny is the most thoughtful person I have ever known, when it comes to giving gifts. When Danny gives me gifts he plans and thinks out every part of the gift. For example, he gave me a purse a few months back, and it was FILLED with all sorts of simple things--tissue, hand sanitizer, lip gloss--even a travel size deodorant because I often forget to put on my deodorant when getting all 7 of us ready for church on Sundays.
Okay, so getting to the details of tonight...we go out to dinner at one of those "she-she, poo-poo" restaurants. We get to our table and after about a minute of sitting there, I realized MY china, was on our table! MY wedding china! My china that has sat in the same boxes it was given to us in, 14 years ago! Big time sniff, sniff!
Danny and I often say we are living on "Delayed Gratification" OR waiting for "Our Decade" when it is all about us, not the children. Our wedding china fell into this category--delayed gratification when we have our dream home, with a "formal" dining room to display our china.
Anyway, wasn't that an incredible anniversary gift? Danny went through my parents home trying to find the stored box of our china. He found it, washed it up, and took it to the restaurant this afternoon! Man-oh-man! VERY sweet moment, very special memory.

He's a real keeper, that Dr. Dan!! We looked and looked for more of your china, and could only find a few pieces. Where did you put the rest of it? I'm so glad you had such a nice dinner. Yes, next year you'll have to do it up big!!
Ah Denise! This was so sweet! You're right...Danny really is very thoughtful in doing things for you. He's a keeper alright. I bet you were so surprised when you looked down and saw your china. OK, I have just fallen in love with Danny Logan right now in my living room. (Just kidding...I probably shouldn't kid about stuff like that since I am about to be a divorcee) HA! That is like a scene from a Nicholas Sparks movie. That is the sweetest and most thoughtful thing ever. I'm glad you had such a special time together.
Precious. What a sweet gesture and so well thought out!! Happy Anniversary!
