Technical Difficulties

I am a little embarrassed to say that one of the high lights of my day is actually climbing into bed at night and watching a little TV before I fall asleep. This is just one of my idiosyncrasies.

Well, after 15 or 16 years of living, our bedroom TV officially bit the dust! We have gone a week now with out it. I miss it so much that today, I pulled our LITTLE flat screen out of storage and put it in the armoires. It looks funny, but it serves its purpose. It will do until my love gets me a new one.

Do you have a TV in your bedroom? Take the survey to the left and see what the "survey says."

I bet you could tell by the survey who voted! Yep! We have never had a tv in out room. When we first got married, that was Roy's request and I was a little sad. I LOVE to fall asleep with the tv on. But I was playing the part of the dutiful, submissive wife, so I agreed. I have to say that it is nice. It forces us to talk when we go to bed and use our room for a retreat. Now, I'm not judging all of you with a TV in a room. believe me. When we visit hotels, I am in HEAVEN! But, it is nice, too, to have a room w/out any noise.

Oh, sorry that your tv bit the dust. Is it the one you've had since you got married? If so, it lasted a while!

Also, FYI..Oprah does not have tvs in her bedroom or guest rooms. I am not a Oprah fan by any means, but hey. She is a smart woman.

I know it is best to not have a tv in your room. I know, I know, but Mitchell and I love our bedroom tv. Mitchell ALWAYS watches either the 10 or 11 o' clock news, so it is nice to watch it together before turning in. I also love it when Mitchell is not home and I can snuggle up in my bed and watch a good show.

I have to say, I'm with Donna. Leland did NOT want a TV in our room when we got married and I was so used to having one when I was single. I would get ready while watching the morning news shows and I loved Sat mornings watching tv in bed. I've gotten used to not having one and although Leland's told me since then we could go ahead an put one in, I still think it's good that we don't. I would be WAY too distracted. I agree too Donna that staying in a hotel is so fun because it's a special treat to watch TV in bed!

Hi Denise! I saw your comment on my blog and I didn't know you had a blog too! I'm glad I'm not the only one people say rude things to while pregnant! I thought it was just me. 10-year olds are so much fun! I don't want mine to get any older than she is now!

No TV in our room...but I did watch Survivor on my laptop in our room the last time Bruce was gone!

BTW, Where is HPS? I haven't seen or heard from her in the blog world lately?

I don't know. Why don't you call her and see what's up? She is missed!

Denise, I too am a TV watcher in my bedroom. We never had one in our bedroom but when I started having health issues and would have to be in bed at different times, we moved one in there. Probably about 7 years ago. Anyway, I really don't watch it in bed except for when Mike is out of town. It is so relaxing! CNN or Fox News on low is like taking a sleeping pill. All you lovey-dovey newlyweds will have a TV eventually....you just wait. LOL!
