Sorry for the MIA

Okay. I'm back. Sorry girls but this past week has been a a killer (no pun/punt???intended...see below). I have been one busy mom. Although I do have a husband and my children do have a father, he is at work a lot so it is just me and my sweet children. When I was pregnant with Margaux and when Danny would touch my belly, I would say,"Don't be afraid baby, it's not a stranger, it's your daddy."

Anyway, I have been one busy mom. The day after my last post, Grandma Roberts died...get it?????? So up we went to Southwest Georgia for a quick 2 days....very HOT 2 days.
So hot that at the funeral, I was sitting in front of the casket, at the grave site, holding a sleeping Margaux, with SWEAT rolling and rolling and rolling down my back.
So hot that the AC was not even cooling off the truck, and since my brother in law came with us, I got demoted from the front passenger seat all the way to the back, between my oldest two children..... the hottest most miserable place to sit for 7 1/2 hours!
Not to mention, so hot, and trying to breastfeed Margaux discreetly so my brother in law wouldn't see my "ladies." It may have scared him, since his wife is a sweet size 2 and I am a solid 10 with 2 solid 36 DD ladies.

Anyway, we got home late Wednesday night and it has just been one thing after another: cleaning, laundry, fixing food, cleaning, fixing food, laundry....oh, the pool turned GREEN while we were gone, so I had that to deal with too.

Let's see, we are still potty training Harry Jack. Hopefully he will not be going to college in Pull-up's. Ummm......We started solids for Margaux this week, and to my dismay, the "explosive, runny, coming out of the diaper, all over her clothes poo poo" she was having for the past 5 months, are still occurring....in solid form.

So, I just put Harry Jack to bed for a nap, and put both Maddie and Danny in their rooms to read and do school work.......yes, I am homeschooling too...another story for another time. Currently I am balancing my lap top on my right hip as I lay down in my bed to feed Margaux. I am hen pecking the computer keys with one hand, determined to accomplish this post.

Sadly, my post is almost complete and I am struggling. Although this bed feels great and a nap would be ever so pleasing to my tired body, I need to get up, get in the kitchen and do more cleaning, laundry, and picking up before nap time is over and I am back on call. Dan Dan has been begging me to load more songs on his shuffle and Maddie has been begging me to list more AG books, of hers, on eBay.

I keep telling myself that this hectic life I lead is just temporary. And, I beg God to please make it all worth it in the long run. By the way, I have now switched to my left hip.

Okay, that was the best post you've EVER written. I am LOL!!

First of all, I had no idea Grandma Roberts died. That's sad. Sorry.

Second, your kids are adorable! I can see some of Caroline in Margaux.

Third, the comment about scaring your brother-in-law made me laugh so hard I thought I would have to go potty.

Fourth, welcome back. I missed your blogs.

Glad to make you laugh. I remember those days of the end of preg when you are about to pee in your pants just because you have to pee, not because of anything funny. Ahhhh pregnancy!!!! Just wait until you have your 3rd and 4th.

By the way, the Tshirts that Margie and Harry Jack are wearing are the same ones I bought for Caroine, Roy boy and Wyatt (????). They are really cute T's.

Denise, I'm LOL too! I can't believe you posted your sizes on the Internet! You're a brave one. Good writing! Although I LOVE your kids with all my heart, this post was great birth control! WOW! You're a great mom though and I'm a proud little sissy! Thanks for keeping us entertained!

And I'm sorry, Margaux, she is just adorable. I love her chubby little neck and chin. Harry Jack looks like he's up to something and I can just hear Dan Dan saying, "Margaux jean the jelly bean."

By the way, Denny, did you sell that cute little white linen nautical outfit for a boy? I have the 3T sister matchy outfit and I would have loved to put Roy in the 6month size in the spring. Say it ain't so....

Girl, it is so. I am so sorry. I sold is on eBay last year and really got lots of $$$$$ for it. I think the brand name was Bauxebell???? Something like that???? Just Ebay it and see if you can find a similar one. Lo ciento mi hermana.

Sissies, sissies. oh what fun. Denise, i love your transparency. Listen to the mom of one say , "there'll be a time when you miss these days." What do I know (as I'm hen pecking on my right hip)? I'm proud of your perseverance and blogging through the storm!

Denise....bless your heart....you deserve an award. I laughed out loud reading your blog too. It's good that we can laugh at the things that we go through. You have such a beautiful family....little HJ is getting sooo big. He looks like Daddy did as a little boy...just like Dan Dan did. Little Bumbo is precious. Can't wait to see her again. And Maddie is getting to be a little lady. I miss you all so much. Take things easy....one day at a time...for you, one hour at a time. Too soon your little ones will be grown and gone....like mine are. ILY

hahaha. I just re-read your blog and realized that you were in the VERY back of the suburband b/w Maddie and DanDan! I can just see it now! Why didn't you make David sit back there? He could play with the kids, and he's so skinny!

Hey Denny! I agree with the others...very entertaining reading. Take a break...tell DanDan to listen to the radio...goodness gracious...how kids' worlds have changed. Remember our little pale blue and pink "boom boxes?" (do you like how i said "our" even though it was really yours? that's a gibler move if i've ever seen one! aw, the good ole days!)
Your kids are sooooo cute! Good job with those 4!

Ahhh the memories! Good Gibler move! Sadly, my blue boom box bit the dust in good old Atlanta.

Yes, Denise had the Blue boom box, Dawn had pink. Dolly and I had the miniature versions...mine was pink Dolly's was teal. Dayna had a different model but hers was AWESOME! It was Burgundy. I don't know why I remember weird details like this.

This was an incredible post, Denise!! My eyes were soaking in the words sentence by sentence. I feel like I truly was there in the back of the suburban with you and changing Marqaux's diaper and feeling the sweat roll down my clothes! If you can do all that and make time for a blog update, I have no excuse.

Denny, I just read your profile for your blog and saw the shout out to me. Don't know if I should be proud that it was about Beyonce, but I guess I have to own that one...ooh boy you lookin' like you like what you see...
I love Nic Sparks too!
