SIDE NOTE: Harry Jack was telling me early this morning as he was getting ready for school that we might have to sit on the floor for our lunch date. I told him that it was okay, I didn't mind and he said, "NO WAY" (in a funny Harry Jack laugh) "the floor is NASTY!"
So I arrived at 11:30 with my lunch for Harry Jack (requested ham and cheese from Subway, cheese popcorn and a juice box), and a ginger ale and bagel for me. Harry Jack ushered me to our seat and I started to giggle. I mean GIGGLE!
This is what was waiting for me at my seat.
The first thing I thought of was this guy...
...that villain guy from Disney's, The Princess and the Frog. I don't know...there is something about the eyes.Even Harry's teacher kindly noticed the eyes. She came by to check on me during the lunch and smiled and said something like, "Didn't Harry Jack do a nice job on his picture of you? He did a great job with those eyes!" She is a great teacher--and we were on the same page as far as the eyes---Yikes is what we were both thinking!!!!!
Oooh! I love my Harry Jack!

That is so nice. I tell you.... Harry Jack is one special little boy. I love him so much!! He is able to smile his way into everyone's life, and he has a gentle, sweet spirit, as well. God has something special for him....don't worry, Denise....it will be a good thing! Love the picture, although I don't see the resemblance to you very much. HJ did a good job, though. Gotta love that guy!!
I love the eyes, but the best part is that beautiful flower bow for your hair! Harry Jack has you pegged! :) I just received a drawing of myself from my preschooler where I had no clothes, but a very large belly button instead. Isn't it funny what they choose to draw?
OK, when I scrolled down to your picture, that made me laugh out loud. So funny! What a special little outing you had with your sweet son. I love boys so much! I
OH my goodness, that's so funny! I love that Harry's teacher talked about what a good job he did in front of you and him. You know he felt like THE MAN! Haha! I can just hear him saying that the floor in his class was NASTY! LIke father like son. I love Harry Jack!
hahahah! I laughed out loud when I saw that picture of you, too! It looks like one of those voodoo dolls that you stick pins in! Sweet Harry! I bet he was so proud of himself when he made that:) Treasure that forever!
That picture is too funny. Oh, the eyes...the EYES! I am so glad he added the flower on your head.
Sounds like a sweet lunch and I know he was probably so excited to have you there and glad you didnt have to sit on the NASTY floor.
Our first grade teacher does parent lunches several times a year, but never in the 2 years that we have had her have I ever received such a beautiful gift as you did! Boy how their little personalities come out when they make art like Harry Jack did for his mama! Posts like that make me glad that I am getting back on my blogging wagon...darn you for sending me Redeeming Love...I haven't blogged since and there is a reason for that!!! LOL!
I just love that HJ thought the floor was not an option bc it was nasty!
Your pictures is so awesome and your comparison to the Voodoo guy is hysterical! I love the flower too - super sweet.
Better late than never! Harry Jack is a cutie pie and I love going to things like this with Max. It's just so sweet and will be such a good memory for you.
