So here are a few pictures of what we did this week. Starting with Margaux's birthday.
was waiting for all night!
Today, we took a little hike to the Liberty University monogram. It wasn't much of a walk since we drove the truck almost to the top, but we did walk about 50 yards to the top. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! The children (minus Maddie, who is with her aunts in Charlotte) loved it! And, I by the way, this monogram is HUGE!!!! It is made with thousands of rocks and some bushes. Very cool to see! Another reason why I say, "Go Liberty!" Building this monogram on the top side of a mountain was a major undertaking!

After the hike we took the boys to
Snowflex to tube and snowboard.
Snowflex to tube and snowboard.
really fast since we moved back home.
So that is a wrap. We are currently all in Danny and my bedroom watching a movie---Old Dog's--cheesy funny! Harry Jack and Jane have fallen asleep, and Harry Jack is snoring! Pretty good day! Pretty good Spring Break.

That is so cool about the LU monogram. I have seen pictures of that for years and had no idea it was made out of rocks and bushes. Pretty cool! It looked like yall had great weather.
Happy Birthday Miss Margaux. You did a great job on that cake. It looked just like Phineas. A woman of many talents.
Great wrap up of Spring Break! It's so nice that we had nice weather this week too!
I need to "hike" to the monogram one of these days. I heard the view is incredible too. Love the pictures of the kids up there. And Dan Dan snow boarding....wow! He looks like Shawn White! (tell him I said that)
Great cake too! I had a piece of this people and it was even better than it looked! (and that was hard to beat)
WOW!! Very good job on Phineas! (I was going to say awesome job, but I know how you feel about that word...)
Way to go, Margaux!! I've seen that DVD many times- I know you'll enjoy!!
Hey there! Love the cake you made. I bet it was delicious and it looks so professional. The monogram is yet another reason I need to come back and visit the campus. Lastly, we recently rented Old Dogs from the Harris Teeter red box and I laughed so much. My favorite part was John Travolta in the restaurant and he spilled water...I couldn't stop laughing.
Looks like fun!
One time while Shae was at CFAW, Scott decided that he and I would go up to the monogram. I had on a nice outfit with the cutest sandals...
He asked some kids if it was real far..."oh, no just a little ways up..."
Umm, we WALKED from our "parking spot" on Candlers Mountain Road. all.the.way.to.the.top.
I was a teeny bit ticked when a car passed us on THEIR way DOWN! My feet were BROWN when we got back down!
Happy Birthday Margeaux! Glad you had a fun break! agree, bring on summertime! (except that it means Shae will graduate...boohoo!)
I'm in AWE of your Phineas cake! Look out "CAKE BOSS"! My boys love Phineas and Ferb too. Have you hear the "Gitchee gitchee goo" song? I have it memorized.
Okay, what are they snowboarding and tubing on? It is snow? It looks really flat. I haven't made it up to snow mountain yet, but my nephews LOVE it.
Angela--Cake Boss---you are so funny! I love to watch that show but I don't know who I like better, Ace of Cakes of Cake Boss.
The Snowflex is like a big huge carpet. It is like a plastic/microfiber/astroturf type carpet. It also has little mini built in sprinklers that mist water on it every now and then. It is cool, something you have to see to understand it.
Oh and yes, we have the CD to P&E memorized! It is funny to listen to Margaux sing it! Gitcha gitcha goo is her favorite followed by "Little Brother."
I will see you in a few weeks at the wedding!
Time to catch up on blogs!!! Ahhh, I hope Miss Margaux had a great birthday. Why do I think it's so funny that she loves Phineas and Ferb? I just think of her as still so little...oh well, they have to grow up sooner or later. And speaking of growing up, that Jane is getting so big! Oh my, she is so cute, Denise. Glad you guys had a good sprink break. Ours is this coming week and I'm looking forward to not having to rush around tomorrow morning.
