Weekend Wrap Up

This past week was busy, but fun. On Wednesday afternoon Danny's parents flew in for a few days. (Margaux trying to wiggle out of the picture. That stinker girl!)
Thursday morning we were all up early and out the door by 6:45 am for a 7:00 Christmas breakfast at my father's direct mail plant.

The children loved this because they got to go to school a hour late.

My sister Dawn is behind Santa. She is better known as Top Dawg, and is my dad's Top Dawg at Mail America! She truly is a hard worker and this Christmas breakfast would not have been such a success without her.
My Dad and Santa bringing bonus checks to the employees!!!! After looking at this picture, I cannot figure out what that dome shaped thing is, with hair on it. Is it the back or front of an employee's head. Dawn, can you figure this out????
It was almost time for Danny and the children to leave for school when Dolly stepped on a package of Ketchup and it squirted all over Danny's pants! So funny! We laughed until some of us cried and probably wet our pants! I am laughing now thinking of it. I think my mom and Dolly's husband, Leland, laughed the hardest. Poor Danny! He was a good sport. And I am happy to say, all the ketchup came out!

On Thursday evening Donna and her children came in town. On Saturday we 5 sisters met up at Dawn's house to bake cookies, talk and RELAX by the fire! It was great!

Sunday, since my parents were out of town we all met up at their house after church to eat brunch and chill out by the fire. LOVELY afternoon!

This morning, we had a little ice and schools were delayed 2 hours. A very nice gift this morning to top off a great weekend!

It's the last week of school. Exam week. Just a few more days and then this guy is home with me for 4 weeks! Life is good!

Yes, it was a fun, relaxing weekend. I, too, ate WAY too many cookies. I'd love one right now, though:)

Your MIL looks JUST LIKE JUDY GARLAND! I'm laughing right now!! I can just imagine her in that picture belting out "Come On, Get Happy!"

Oh, and I love the beautiful picture of me. Thanks!

How fun, Denise. You do such a good job of capturing special moments in your life, big and small. Reading your blog, it is so apparent how happy you are to have your family back in Virginia. I am happy for you! Dana

What a fun-filled week you have had. That picture was great of Danny and Dolly. So funny! Dolly, I LOVE your boots. I'm glad you got to have so much family time with both sides of the family. I didn't think about Danny's new job affording him holidays and summers off. That's great for you!!!! Maybe #6 will come into play after this holiday season. HA!
