I think Maddie is tired of sharing a bathroom with her brothers. This is the note I found taped to the bathroom medicine cabinet this morning. It made me laugh and I thought I would share it with you. Bless her heart, she has no idea what she is in for in the years to come.

That is priceless. Gabrielle just posted something like that in her bathroom and she doesn't even share it with any boys, but once in awhile they end up using it anyways. Guess she was fed up too.

My job was always to clean the bathroom and w/ 2 brothers, there was pee EVERYWHERE and Oh my gosh...THey used to think it was fun to pee at the same time and sword fight w/ their pee. you're right...it got worse as they got older (hair pie patties, etc). I vowed that if I had girls and boys, the boys will have the job of cleaning the bathroom. However, I guess it makes sense for the boys to have the job of mowing the yard rather than the girls.
Maddie is so cute! I love this post. I remember doing rules for our room when I shared with Donna. I put rules like when you wanted to talk to Jesus, you went under my bed but if you wanted to tell Satan, "get thee behind me Satan" you went under DOnna's bed. Nice! I know!

maddie is a girl after my own heart. i have put up countless "rules" around the house in my lifetime with little results. i even did it this summer when i was home. my favorite is "you have to wash your own dishes today. we gave the maid the day off." (when, obviously we've never had a maid. sadly some family members don't even get it.)

Denise, your blog brings back vivid memories of your "Saturday morning notes"....five of them.... taped to the kitchen counter with everyone's jobs for the day. yes, jenius, i DO remember coming down the stairs on saturday morning after spending the night and seeing "our" list for the day. sometimes I even had my own list! or just a tag-on to dolly's list! that was good for us...kept us out of trouble a little bit!
